Ladies Vets - South Vets Tournament

EG Ladies' Vets team represented Sussex at the South Vets Tournament on Sunday 27 April at Woking.

There were 8 teams divided into 2 pools of 4, however Oxford Hawks in our pool did not show up so the match results were as follows: EG lost to Teddington 5-0 before drawing with Bracknell 0-0 (a very commendable result as this team had previously drawn 0-0 with Teddington).

The eventual winners were Eastcote who have won for the past 3 years, however they are not able to field a team on the date of the National finals so Epsom, the runners-up, have been invited to attend in their place.

A very successful outing for the EG Vets who had only previously played together in the qualifying Sussex tournament earlier in the month and lacked match practice as a team. We look forward to more tournaments, more tiffin and a repeat performance next year!
