EG Ladies 3s:  2 - 2 Penguins 2s

EG met Penguin 2s in a top of the table clash at Saint Hill on a cold November morning. Grinstead began in a determined fashion and took an early lead when Kirstie capitalised on a rebound from Nyssa's shot clipping the ball past the stranded keeper.

EG dominated the next twenty minutes with great breaks down the left from Ella, ably supported by Sammi in midfield. One of these breaks resulted in a slip from Ella finding Yvonne at the top of the D who crashed the ball into the back of the net.

Despite controlling most of the first half two defensive errors allowed Penguins back into the game to draw level just before half time.   

The second half saw further E.G attacks which were consistently thwarted by the Penguins goal keeper who played out of her skin.

Many excellent balls from Caroline Strafford went begging as no one was able to touch them. Any forays into the E.G half were quickly shut down by the defence with Olivia excelling in her role as sweeper.

The final whistle went with E.G on the attack yet again but the game finished at 2-2.
