EG Ladies 3s:  2 - 1 Hailsham Ladies

After a good 15 minutes cleaning the autumn leaves from the pitch, EG started the game strongly, very much up for the game ahead. Dominating possession Grinstead were the better team, however a quick break from Hailsham caught the team off guard and was slipped to the right hand side of the keeper.

EG continued to keep up the determined, yet very attacking play and was very unlucky not to score as the ball could never quite make it over the line. With the work of Hailsham's strong keeper the 1^st half ended with the opposition 1-0 up.

With the start of the 2^nd half EG were adamant to turn the game around from their misfortunes in the first half.

Repeated attacks were mounted late in the 2^nd half. The ball was slipped to the top of the circle by Sammy who carried it up to the line, who found it easy to pick out Kirstie who ran in and slipped it in past the keeper to equalise the game to 1-1.  Grinstead now fired up, were determined to get another goal and strongly believed that they could now go on to win the match.

The 2^nd goal came not long after the push back, with Linda feeding the ball into the circle. Nyssa was there to take the shot and placed it in the goal from a re-bound off the keeper.

EG kept the attack in Hailsham's half and continued to play strongly up until the full time whistle.  Credit to the whole team as everyone worked hard to earn the win!!
