EG wanted to finish the season on a high and although they won the game comfortably this wasn’t the performance that they would have wished for!
Grinstead opened the scoring from a well worked move that Mike Holland coolly slotted home. EG continue to press and won numerous corners, during which Holland managed to score his second of the game.
With Donavan Smith playing is last game for EG before returning to the Caribbean for a new job opportunity he signed off with a well taken goal. Duncan Howarth finished off the scoring with a powerful shot into the bottom corner.
EG conceded a sloppy goal late on, but Wimbledon didn’t put them under much pressure.
