Men's 1st XI : 7 - Canterbury 3 EH Cup Quarter-Final
East Grinstead remain on course for a second successive cup final appearance, producing a disciplined and professional performance to win 7-3 at Canterbury.
Jackson scored three times, including two short corners after opening his account with a tremendous reverse stick strike from open play. Pearn netted twice while Ben Payne and Jack Marfleet were also on target. Unlike last season, when Grinstead lost in the final to Reading, there is a finals weekend this year with the semi-finals on Saturday March 31 and the final the following day, all at Reading.
Jones said "It is a great opportunity to get through to the final again an secure more silverware for the club. We would dearly love to go one step further than last year and win the cup. We have dispatched premiership opponents in all our rounds this year - Reading, Belper and now Canterbury - so we have done excellently to get through to the semi-finals.
